Banrock Station Project

In partnership with Banrock Station, we are revegetating and enhancing Regionally threatened River Red Gum and Black Box woodlands. This project will restore floodplain woodlands to create habitat for native fauna including the EPBC listed Regent Parrot.

Project Update

Landcare Australia has delivered 161 hectares of revegetation work on Banrock Station. From 2015 – 2019, Landcare Australia achieved the following outcomes:

of locally sourced seed collected

95 ha of River Red Gum Flood Plain

vegetation communities seeded

322 km

of direct seeding completed

37 local species

sown across two vegetation communities

66 ha of Mallee

vegetation communities seeded


80,500 plants

target of 80,500 plants was achieved
