Design and be inspired in the Garden

13 new school gardens get the green light

Junior Landcarers across the country recently got their creative juices flowing and submitted a fantastic variety of top quality garden designs for the Yates and Junior Landcare Design and Be Inspired in the Garden grants program.

Yates and Junior Landcare had a tough time selecting only 13 schools from the large number that applied for funding, and were really impressed by the quality of ideas presented, from hand drawn designs to colourful before and after photographs, and mood boards.

Some of the successful projects include a ‘Bush Tucker Dreaming Garden’ in Oxley Park Public School, St Marys, New South Wales, a ‘Food Forest’ in Agnes Water State School in Queensland, a ‘Native Sensory Garden and Outdoor Learning Area’ in Beaumaris Primary School in Victoria, and a ‘Garden for the Future’ in Williamstown Primary School in South Australia.

The 13 grant recipients will each receive up to $1,500 of funding, $500 worth of Yates gardening products and a Yates growing consultation for their school or childcare centre.

We can’t wait to see the fantastic designs come to life!
