MobileMuster recently renewed its partnership with Landcare Australia to help restore vulnerable habitats in local communities.

An August 2020 campaign aims to recycle over 20,000 mobile phones during the month. The funds raised are helping Landcare Australia plant thousands of trees as part of a wetland revegetation and biodiversity project to improve the area and quality of habitat along Willa Willa (Brownhill Creek), beside Adelaide Airport and the City.

MobileMuster is the product stewardship program of Australia’s mobile phone industry and is accredited by the federal government. It is voluntarily funded by all of the major handset manufacturers and network carriers to provide a free mobile phone recycling program in Australia to the highest environmental standard. The program is committed to raising awareness and educating the community on why it is important to recycle.
