Holden has been a major partner of Landcare Australia since 2002 to support projects aimed at restoring public areas and parks in the vicinity of Holden’s major facilities. The projects form part of the company’s Community Support program.
In 2010 the partnership was extended through the Holden Environment Landcare Partnership (H.E.L.P.) – a program spanning four states that aims to rebuild native habitats affected by natural disasters. The care groups receiving support through this program in 2011 were: Wildhaven Refuge, St. Andrews, Victoria; Redlands City Council Bushcare – Station Street Bushcare Group, Queensland; Billyrambija Landcare Group – Tarlo River, west of Goulburn, New South Wales and Friends of Englebrook Reserve, Bridgewater in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia.
