Landcare Australia confirms new CEO

The Board of Landcare Australia this week confirmed the appointment of Dr Shane Norrish as its Chief Executive Officer. He has been acting in this role following the April departure of Tessa Matykiewicz.

Dr Norrish joined the organisation in 2007 as the Landcare Farming Program Manager and managed corporate partnerships supporting sustainable agriculture projects. More recently as Head of Landcare Services, he managed numerous large environmental and habitat restoration projects as well as Landcare Australia’s responsibilities as a Service Provider for the Australian Government’s Green Army and 20M trees programs.

Chairman Doug Humann said, “Shane has served as an integral member of Landcare Australia’s leadership team for many years. He brings considerable experience in resource management and environmental issues, as well strong leadership and senior management expertise to this role.”
