Wildlife Relief and Recovery Grants
WIRES and Landcare Australia partnered to deliver $1.185million in grants for bushfire recovery projects following the 2019/2020 Black Summer Bushfires. The funding was provided to Landcare Australia as a result of donations made to WIRES.
The WIRES Landcare Australia Wildlife Relief and Recovery Grants program focused on providing support to improve outcomes for wildlife following the devastating bushfires across Australia that were aligned with key government response priorities.
Landcare Australia managed the delivery of the grants program with landcare groups and local communities. Our support helped them to implement immediate response, recovery and resilience projects for wildlife in bushfire and drought impacted communities across Australia.
