Coastcare Week

Coastcare Week is an annual campaign celebrated during the first week of December that acknowledges the Australians who are actively restoring, enhancing and protecting the natural environment in their community including Australia’s coastlines and waterways throughout the year.  

The Coastcare Week campaign week is an opportunity to create awareness of what Coastcare and landcare volunteers do in the wider community, and for us all to promote the environmental, community and wellbeing benefits of getting your hands dirty to care for the land, coasts and waterways.  

Whether it is a school group learning about recycling to protect our waterways from litter and plastics, a group of volunteers caring for their local beach or bushland, to the storytelling from an Indigenous Elder, all Australians are taking small steps to care for the environment at work, home and in their community. 

We have created useful Coastcare Week branded resources for all community-led groups focused on caring for the natural environment to us when promoting their support for Coastcare and landcare.
