7 JANUARY 2016 – West Australian dairy farmer, Warrick Tyrrell, has found a new way to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions at his Waterloo property at which his 300 cows produce 2.5 million litres of milk every year.

7 JANUARY 2016 – Tasmanian dairy farmer, John Wilson, has used a Lion Landcare Grant to introduce new sustainability measures at his Kayena property, which have significantly improved nutrient management and crop life.

7 JANUARY 2016 – Murray Bridge dairy farmer, Ian Mueller, has installed an impressive energy efficient system which will significantly reduce his farm’s energy costs by more than 30 percent or over $2 per kilolitre of milk.

23 DECEMBER 2015 – Landcare Australia will lead a partnership between the Australian Government, NSW Government, community groups and land holders to complete vital remediation and protection work on the invaluable Wallamore Anabranch along the Peel River in Northern NSW. More than one million dollars in funding and in-kind contributions have been committed to this project by partners: Landcare Australia, Australian Government Department of Agriculture, NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI), North West Local Land Services, Wallamore Landcare Group, Lion Dairy, and the 20 Million Trees Programme.
