2022/2023 Annual Report
The Landcare Australia team are excited to share our Annual Report for 2022/2023.
We have been working hard to support Landcarers on the ground with funding for quality projects that are making a positive impact in protecting our environment, restoring our landscapes, improving biodiversity, and helping to create resilient communities and connected people. We are also getting our hands dirty by delivering large scale projects with local communities and landcare groups. Our activities have strengthened connections with individuals, groups and organisations involved in landcare.
From inspiring children to become the next generation of landcarers with our Junior Landcare program, to creating partnerships with landcare groups for wildlife restoration programs, bushfire recovery projects and building strong connections between landcare and Australian agriculture.
Our corporate, philanthropic and government partnerships assist us with funding and in-kind support for projects that breathe new life into landscapes and help us grow volunteers.
The National Landcare Conference and the Landcare Awards program help us to promote landcare achievements and provide education resources for everyone to learn best practice methods for sustainable land management and conservation practices.
The First Nations Landcare Working Group are working with us to set the benchmark for how Landcarers across Australia can create trusted, respected relationships with First Nations Peoples and create pathways on how we can introduce ancient Cultural methods for caring for Country.
Landcare Australia is committed to addressing the pressing needs of the landcare community, and has a proven track record for over 30 years of delivering meaningful results for landcare and our partners. To provide even more support for landcare, we are creating a new Landcare Australia Organisational Strategic Plan that will lead landcare over the next five years of environmental, economic and social change.
With the support from our partners, our team and the landcarers on the ground, we have an opportunity to make great change for the people of today, and for future generations.
