Celebrate 30 years of Landcare by sharing your Landcare achievement
This year, Landcare and Landcare Australia are celebrating a 30-year anniversary. Landcare has played a leading role in changing Australia’s approach to sustainable agricultural practices, environmental protection, land and water conservation, biodiversity and landscape restoration whilst connecting communities.
In recognition of the incredible work that has been achieved during the past three decades, Landcare Australia is curating a collection of stories that exemplify the Landcare ethos. These stories will be used across a number of special publications to showcase and share how Landcare has shaped Australia and why it is integral to our country’s future.
If you have a story about a Landcare project or person that has made or is making a difference to the environment and local community, we’d love to hear it!
Things to consider when submitting a story
We are looking for stories that demonstrate positive outcomes for the environment and community. It could be about something that has happened anytime during the last 30 years. The more details you can give us, the better. For example, who was involved in the project; what year was the project started and completed; how many trees were planted, weeds pulled, hectares revegetated, people assisted? If you have any photos or videos, you can include them with your submission too.
How do I know if my submission will be chosen?
If your story has what we’re looking for, a representative from Landcare Australia will contact you. Unfortunately, we may not be able to respond to every submission.
