Parliamentary Friends of Landcare Co-Chairs Senator Perrin Davey and Senator Ciccone encourages Landcare groups to apply for a grant in the Natural Resource Management Drought Resilience Program
A new round of Drought Resilience grants targeted to Natural Resource Management (NRM) projects designed to improve the drought resilience of the agricultural landscape are now open. Encouraged to apply are organisations, farmer groups and individuals with innovative ideas to build drought resilience through improved NRM with grants of between $20,000 and $200,000 and a total of $10 million available.
As Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Landcare, Senator Perrin and Senator Ciccone knows that Landcare groups have a proven track record for developing local projects that suit local ecologies. These grants are for innovative NRM practices, systems and approaches that will improve natural capital and contribute towards landscape-scale drought resilience.
Successful applicants will receive between $20,000 up to a maximum of $200,000.
To be eligible to apply, proposals must:
- focus on improving NRM to build drought resilience
- enhance the public good by building drought resilience
- be valued between $20,000 up to a maximum of $200,000.
