Thanks and good wishes to departing Landcare Australia CEO
The board of Landcare Australia today announced the departure of its Chief Executive Officer, Tessa Matykiewicz, following five years in the role.
Ms Matykiewicz has decided to leave Landcare Australia to pursue other ambitions she has for her life and professional career.
Chairman Doug Humann said, “Tessa has recently completed her five-year contract with Landcare Australia and it is with considerable regret that the Board and staff farewell her.”
The Board acknowledges Tessa’s commitment to the cause of Landcare Australia, and Mr Humann said, “Tessa’s tenure has been distinguished by her commitment and dedication.
“She has built the Landcare Australia team, increased its professionalism, capability and diversity, and extended the reach of Landcare Australia into the wider corporate community and government. Tessa stretched, supported and encouraged her team to perform at a high level, and gave an enormous amount of herself to the role. We wish her well and thank her for her outstanding service.”
Ms Matykiewicz said, “My team have been an enormous support to me. Landcare Australia’s achievements are as a result of their dedication to our organisation and Landcare. I will always feel honoured for the opportunity to be associated with Landcare, Landcarers everywhere, my team and board.”
In the immediate term, Dr Shane Norrish, currently Landcare Australia’s Head of Landcare Services, will assume the role of CEO from 27 April 2018.
