Standing the test of time for over the past three decades, the spirit of Landcare depends on the strength, resilience and dedication of its passionate devotees.

Many would say none more dedicated than Major General the Hon. Michael Jeffery, AC, AO(Mil), CVO, MC (Retd). While serving as patron of Landcare Australia, the former Governor- General was selected as Australia’s first National Soils Advocate, championing soil health through the integrated management of soil, water, vegetation and animals to the benefit of all Australians. In this issue of Landcare in Focus, Landcare Australia presents a special tribute to a man who has long and passionately advocated for improvements in the health of our agricultural landscape.
