Would you like to connect and collaborate with other Coastcarers?
Would you like to connect with Coastcarers who are working on similar issues around the country?
A Coastcare Community has kicked off on online community platform, Landcarer, and you are invited to join!
Similar to Facebook groups, Communities are based on a shared interest or goal, and make collaboration with people outside your community, region or state even easier.
The Coastcare Community is for anyone involved in protecting or managing Australia’s precious coastal and marine environments. From weed management to beach clean-ups, dune stabilisation, native species protection, and habitat creation, we welcome any conversation about Coastcare activities.
You can ask questions, share knowledge, troubleshoot issues, post photos and enjoy connecting with people who care about the same stuff as you!
Naomi Wells from Bellarine Catchment Network in Victoria is a moderator in the online community. She has been sharing some great resources, including a series of fantastic videos which show you how you can stay connected with your local environment, including one on beachcombing.
You can sign up to Landcarer by visiting www.landcarer.com.au and clicking on the Get Started button. Once you’re logged in you can visit www.landcarer.com.au/coastcare, and click on the Join button on the bottom right of the group photo. An admin will approve your request to join, and you can join in the Coastcare conversation!
We hope to see you there.
